Connect with your partner by link or code
Share your friend link with your partner, or send your island code and accept their request. You each have an island with Mochi the otter, and your conversation lives in Chats. Start with a hello, a photo of your morning or a letter for the next time you miss each other.
A couple widget for your iPhone Home Screen
Choose your partner for the Friend widget on iPhone. Wake up to their note beside their island, local time, latest shared camera photo and your Doori. Boop Doori, poke your partner or send rain from the widget when you want to say hello before a longer chat.
Raise a little hermit crab together
Doori is a hermit crab you share. Its shell grows with time together and the sea glass earned from replies, from pebble to striped, stickered and pearl. A busy week just means a nap.
A photo booth strip from two cities
In the app’s booth, you each take your own cuts on your own phone and make one 4-cut strip in a seasonal frame. Pick matching jumpers or hold up the same snack for a small date you can keep. The free browser booth linked below makes a strip on one device; the app’s shared booth brings your separate photos together.
Send a little rain when you miss them
Send rain, snow, petals or a star to your partner’s island from the app. Your gift waits as a cloud they can open, then the weather falls over their island. Rain can mean “thinking of you on this rainy afternoon”; petals can be a small surprise after a long day.
See their time before saying goodnight
Your partner’s local time and weather appear in Chats, so their morning can be part of your evening. Leave a note before bed, or send a friend letter for a date in their morning. For international long-distance couples writing in different languages, translation is available where the phone and language pair support it.
Keep the ordinary days as well as anniversaries
Write a page in each other’s Book and approve the page when it arrives. Keep a favourite chat moment or booth strip in your own Book. On Sunday evening in your local time, Sunday Tide brings a week with moments to your island as a crate of photos, letters, finds and more: something to open and talk about together.
Notice the same little find
Pick up what the tide brings to your island. When you and your partner collect the same find on the same day, a same-tide card appears for both of you. Finding the same sea glass miles apart gives you a little “you too?” moment to share.
Bring your friends into a lagoon
Make a lagoon when you want a group conversation with friends as well as time just for you two. Friends join by invitation, and the lagoon has its own island, a shared Doori and a group booth. Everyone’s local time and weather help you find a moment to catch up across countries.
